Comments: One of the most misunderstood and overhyped breaks in New England, Rye gets overcrowded in conditions where it really shouldn't. There are plenty of other spots, some even within walking/paddling distance that offer better conditions most of the time (especially when crowds are a factor). Localism: Some. Crowds bring out the worst in even non-locals. Parking: A hidden parking lot and by the road.
